Now part of the Jazz family of books. Mixed reviews. Exercise
some caution here as there are definitely better places to
play. We are particularly concerned in light of this group's
shaky financials dating back a couple of years. Here are related
company statements in that regard:
“The 4th quarter of 2001 was
a very bad period for cash flow. We purchased ABC Islands,
LooseLines, Top of the World, and took over operational
control of Grand Central. This involved a large outlay of
cash to players at all four places that were owed money.
In addition three casinos were purchased and remodeled in
Costa Rica.Jazz then suffered a couple of very big hits
including the now infamous $460k parlay and a $4.1 million
dollar payout on the Super Bowl."
“We have also suffered a large
loss from the Ace's Gold debacle. This in combination with
some bad management decisions and some bad press caused
a large run on the bank. We are currently meeting all payout
requests ... albeit sometimes slowly depending on the amount
OR method of payment requested by player."
While we appreciate this group's honesty,
we remain concerned about their poor financial history.

UPDATES
ABC Islands is currently under the same
umbrella as Jazz, LooseLines, Dionysus, et al. and is intended
to be the group's mid-level book. Despite the name, these
guys are no longer affiliated with Aruba,
Bonaire or Curacao ... they're
in Costa Rica.

I don’t know that ABC would
ever become one of my primary outs. I find the Jazz/ABC
folks enjoyable to deal with, and they give me an overall
impression of a professionally run operation, but you’re
pretty much betting clone lines for full vig here, with
wagering software that many people aren’t very fond
of. Even with the dime line in baseball, from my observations
it doesn’t look like they’ll have the best available
line very often at all.

"Seven"
A book that is getting better everyday. I started playing
there for their excellent teaser prices and now I find my
self playing there everyday because of their 10 cent baseball
line and all the other sports that they offer.
