The Destiny 2: Into the Light update is not just a stepping stone. It’s the final significant update before the grand finale-the Final Shape expansion. This exclusive update, known as version 7.3.6, is packed with new Crucible areas, a three-player mode and a plethora of unlockable weaponry, setting the stage for the ultimate Destiny 2 experience.

So, before heading into the eSports betting sites, I’ll present to you all the information pertinent to Destiny 2: Into the Light, including the exact date of its release.

Can I Play Destiny 2: Into the Light Expansion Now?

Bungie’s latest Destiny 2 expansion, Into the Light, was released on April 9th, 2024. The game’s servers were momentarily halted to prepare for the launch earlier this month, but as of now, it’s up and running for Destiny 2 fans to indulge in.

Into the Light Expansion: The All-New Content

The Into the Light expansion for Destiny 2 is not just another update. It’s a treasure trove of fresh activities and weapons, offering a unique gaming experience that you won’t find anywhere else.

  • Brave Arsenal Weaponry

Brave Arsenal weaponry can be obtained by playing Onslaught (We’ll touch on this later). With more than a dozen weapons to collect, players will discover old favorites removed from the game with all-new colorways.

The full list of Bravel Arsenal weapons includes Succession, Recluse, Mountaintop, Midnight Coup, Hammerhead, Hung Jury SR4, Edge Transit, Blast Furnace, Elsie’s Rifle, Falling Guillotine and Forbearance.

  • Onslaught

If three-player, waved-based modes with a plethora of enemies are your jam, look no further than Onslaught. This is also where players can obtain the previously mentioned Brave Arsenal weapons.

The difficulty of this mode will gradually rise as you’re tasked with defending the units by defeating enemies, upgrading your gear and surviving as long as you can. You’ll be dropped into one of three locations to defend the Advanced Defense Unit from repetitive enemy waves, eventually reaching the Pyramid ship to challenge the level’s boss. However, failing to protect the ADU will result in a loss.

  • Exotic Missions

Two exotic weapons, Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected, are available in the newly revamped Whisper and Zero Hour missions, including upgraded enemies.

  • The Hall of Champions

The Hall of Champions is a brand new social space, and its quartermasters, Shaxx and Arcite 99-40, will be running the show.

Gathering “Trophies of Bravery” grants access to new weapon caches, boosts reputation and prepares players for the impending storm.

  • Coming Soon: Brand New PvP Maps

Players must wait until May 7th, but a brand new PvP map set is coming to Europa, Neomuna and Dissonance.

The Pantheon Challenge

The Pantheon Challenge, the all-new raid boss gauntlet, is not for the faint-hearted. However, the thrill of conquering it and the rewards that await are worth the effort. Get ready for one of the most anticipated additions on April 30.

Bungie has said that Pantheon will scale and become more challenging weekly. Four bosses will be available during launch week, and by May 21st, the challenge will have doubled in size. Every week, Pantheon will introduce a new boss fight, the modifiers will change and the maximum power will drop by five, beginning at five Power below.

In addition, there will be a bonus timer for modifiers in the Pantheon encounters. To maximize the rewards, players must complete the encounter before the timer ends and achieve a Platinum score.

Pantheon Challenge Rewards:

  • Exotic Weapons
  • Adept Weapons
  • Deepsight Raid Weapons
  • Deepsight Raid Emblems
  • Four New Emblems
  • Godslayer Title

As Destiny 2 players prepare for the release of The Final Shape, this challenge is your chance to reclaim any items you may have missed or been unable to get. It’s a reassurance that you can still enjoy the full Destiny 2 experience, even if you’ve missed out on some loot. It does the same, but on a different level, as Bungie’s previously announced catch-up tool for players who have perhaps missed loot.
