In 2025, there will be a plethora of eSports tournaments including a wide range of games, each with its own distinct style and high stakes.

Today, we’ll provide a concise overview of five notable eSports events of 2025, including their prize pools, venues and possible highlights. No matter how much or how little interest you have in the ever-changing world of esports, these events cannot be missed!

The International 2025

• Game Played: Dota 2
• Date of Event: Fall 2025
• Prize Pool: $15 Million-plus (Expected)
• Location: Germany

Boasting its high-intensity gameplay, fierce rivalries and untouchable presence in eSports, The International remains the hottest competition in competitive Dota 2 gaming.

Last year, we watched Team Liquid collect their second championship with a 3-0 clean sweep. The tournament saw unprecedented viewership numbers, with up to 1.5 million concurrent viewers during the finals and over 50 million hours viewed overall. However, those numbers could be shattered in 2025 by fellow event competitors, with the arrival of Riyadh Masters presenting record-breaking prize pools. This, however, shouldn’t deter The International’s event organizers, as it’s still the No.1 tournament on the Dota 2 schedule due to its legacy, high audience numbers and historic moments.

We don’t know which teams will reach The International grand finals. Still, based on years prior, we can expect yet another legendary tournament with career-defining battles, iconic clashes, and new rivalries on the Dota 2 field.
