NBA 2K25 Top 10 Highest Rated Players

The highly anticipated release of NBA 2K25 is just around the corner. Ahead of the game launch, 2K25 has released the ratings for the top-rated players featured in the new title. The list itself includes Golden State Warriors standout Steph Curry, Denver Nuggets hero Nikola Jokic, and, of course… LA Lakers superstar, LeBron James.

Let’s take a closer look at the ratings before betting on any NBA 2K tournament at the top-rated sportsbooks.

Top of the Pack

The National Basketball Association themselves dropped the full list of top-rated players, and a familiar name sits atop the pack.

It won’t come as a huge surprise that Nikola Jokic, the current MVP, has maintained a position as one of the top-rated players, although he’s notably slipped from a 98 to a 97 rating. We’re going to assume that the Nuggets’ defeat in the Western Conference semis is the reason behind this move.

As Europeans have made their mark in the NBA in recent years, Jokic has been joined at the top position by two more Euro-born players, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Doncic, who lifted the 2024 Western Conference trophy with the Dallas Mavericks, has received a boost from last year’s rating (95) to 97. Meanwhile, Milwaukee Bucks golden boy Giannis moves from 96 to 97 to claim a shared first place as one of the three best-rated players on NBA 2K25.

The Second Best-Rated NBA 2K25 Players

Philly big man Joel Embiid and Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander received a 96 overall rating, placing them as the lone players in the center of the top-10 NBA 2K25 player ratings.

Legends Can’t Be Separated

Despite some questionable performances in recent seasons, we should always expect Lakers legend LeBron James and Warriors’ 3-point ace Steph Curry in an NBA 2K top-ten rankings list, and this year is no different.

Both legends have been gifted a 95 overall, alongside the third and final 95-rated Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, but we knew he’d rank in the top 10, considering he’s the game’s cover star.

The Final Top 10 Additions

Completing this year’s NBA 2K25 top-10 player ratings is Anthony Davis of the LA Lakers and Phoenix Suns representative Anthony Davis. Notably, the Lakers are the only team to have two players ranked at the top, albeit with some inevitable kickback from gaming enthusiasts who believe the rankings aren’t true to their current form.

Close, But No Cigar!

Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, and Jalen Brunson each landed with a 93 overall rating, forcing them just outside this year’s top 10 list.

However, regarding the biggest jumps from NBA 2K24 ratings to this year, Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama has skyrocketed from 84 in 2K24 to a generous 91 in 2K25.
